Ted Lasso's Shortbread Biscuits Copycat

1 cup butter, unsalted

2 cups all-purpose flour

¾ cup granulated sugar

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cut the butter into ½-inch cubes and allow them to soften at room temperature.

Heat the oven to 350 F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan, or line it with parchment paper.

In an electric mixer or by hand, mix the flour, sugar, and salt.

Add the butter cubes and vanilla, and mix until the dough comes together and forms a coarse meal.

Press the dough into the prepared baking pan using a spatula, and prick it all over with a fork.

Bake the biscuit dough for 30 to 35 minutes, until golden brown.

Allow the biscuits to cool completely before slicing and serving.
